For: Daily Sun Protection That Feels Like Moisturiser
A pharmacist-selected broad-spectrum SPF 50+ sunscreen, formerly Incellderm Aqua Protection, with an eight-type hyaluronic acid complex.
If sunscreen feels greasy or leaves a white cast, it is easy to skip. A daily sunscreen has to feel good enough that you apply enough of it, every morning.
ICD Moisture Layer Sunscreen SPF 50+ PA++++ · 50ml
Four UV filters in a light cream with eight forms of hyaluronic acid.
Formerly sold as Incellderm Aqua Protection Sunscreen. Broad-spectrum protection comes from octocrylene, homosalate, ethylhexyl salicylate and avobenzone (butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane), with ethylhexyl methoxycrylene as a photostabiliser. Eight forms of hyaluronic acid, glycerin and glucosylrutin give it a moisturising feel. It contains orange peel and lavender oils. Selected by our in-house pharmacist after a full ingredient review.
What You Feel First
First Use
Spreads easily and settles to a comfortable finish with no white cast.
Through the Day
Skin feels moisturised under makeup, without a greasy layer.
The Concern We Hear Most
"Will a chemical sunscreen sting my eyes?"
Some people find chemical filters sting if the product migrates into the eyes. Apply around the orbital bone rather than on the lids, let it set for a few minutes, and wipe away sweat rather than letting it run. If your eyes are very sensitive, a mineral sunscreen around the eye area may suit you better.
Week by Week
Day 1
A full, even layer feels easy and comfortable to apply.
Week 1
Makeup sits smoothly over it.
Week 2
Skin feels moisturised through the day with daily use.
Week 4
Daily sunscreen becomes a habit you don't skip. Individual results may vary.
The Ingredients Behind It
Broad-Spectrum Filters
Octocrylene, homosalate, ethylhexyl salicylate and avobenzone for UVA and UVB protection, labelled SPF 50+ PA++++.
Photostabiliser
Ethylhexyl methoxycrylene helps keep the filters stable in sunlight.
Hyaluronic Acid Complex
Eight forms of hyaluronic acid with glycerin give a hydrated, comfortable feel.
Glucosylrutin
An antioxidant ingredient added in the renewed formula.
Skin Type Fit
Primer and Sunscreen in One
Its smooth, moisturising finish works as a base under makeup, so it can replace a separate primer in the morning. In the facial room, it is the last step before clients leave, once their practitioner says the skin is ready for sunscreen.
If you skip sunscreen because of how it feels, this is the one to try.
Why Our Pharmacist Chose This
"Four well-established UV filters with a photostabiliser, in a texture people actually want to wear daily. It contains orange peel and lavender oils, so patch test if your skin is reactive."
— Our In-House Pharmacist
